Case Closure, founded by Bunim, has provided arbitration and mediation services in the greater New York and New Jersey areas as well as nationally since 2005. Mark J. Bunim, Esq. is an advanced trained mediator (by the CPR Center for Dispute Resolution and the New York State Supreme Court Commercial Division) an experienced Arbitrator and an attorney licensed to practice in the Courts of New York and the United States Courts since 1976. Mr. Bunim has conducted numerous mediations and arbitrations centering on insurance coverage issues, complex business and partnership disputes and multi-party tort litigations. He has mediated attorney and accountant professional liability disputes, partnership disputes, life insurance, ERISA and disability disputes, employment disputes involving sexual harassment, real estate related disputes, and World Trade Center property-loss and business interruption recovery disputes. In addition, Mr. Bunim mediates and arbitrates commercial, contractual and business/ partnership matters and has an expertise in family business and estate conflicts.

Mr. Bunim also serves clients as Settlement Counsel in commercial, insurance and family business related matters. In this capacity, he uses mediation and negotiation skills and tactics to help clients bring matters to resolution. He is a member of the nationwide Settlement Perspectives panel, a select group of attorneys dedicated to acting as settlement counsel.

Mr. Bunim has been selected as “2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Insurance Law” by the American Lawyer/ New York Law Journal. Mr. Bunim has also been selected as a member of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN) and as a Charter Member of the New York Academy of Mediators and Arbitrators.

Mr. Bunim is on the Panel of Mediators of the Commercial Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York; the Panel for the Superior Courts of New Jersey; the Panel of Commercial Arbitrators and Mediators of FedArb.; the New York and the New Jersey Storm Sandy Mediation Panels; and serves on the ADR Committee for the Claims Litigation Management Alliance where he is a sub-committee chairman. He is active in the Dispute Resolution Section of the New York State Bar Association and its Mediation and its Arbitration Committees. He is also a member of the Dispute Resolution Committee of the New York City Bar Association.
