ERICA B. GARAY, ESQ. TO PARTICIPATE IN LECTURE ON MEDIATING EMPLOYMENT DISPUTES
Erica B. Garay, Esq. has been invited by the Nassau County Bar Association (NCBA) Labor & Employment Law Committee and Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee to speak at a program entitled “How to Successfully Mediate Employment Disputes”. The lecture will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at the Nassau County Bar Association, 15 West St (North Side Dining Room), Mineola, NY 11501 at 12:30 p.m.
Ms. Garay’s presentation will include practical tips and the benefits of mediation as an efficient and cost-effective alternative to the litigation of employment disputes. The program will also address the implementation and administration of alternative dispute resolution programs as a means to resolving employment disputes, determining the right time to mediate and important qualities to look for when selecting a neutral.
Ms. Garay is a mediator and arbitrator at NAM and the Chair of the Alternative Dispute Resolution section of the NCBA. She has mediated and arbitrated a wide variety of commercial cases involving claims related to business valuations, corporate and partnership dissolutions, derivative suits, employment, insurance coverage, shareholder disputes, real estate, trade secrets and restrictive covenants. Ms. Garay has lectured numerous times about ADR and authored articles on many of these same topics for various publications.
