NAM is very proud to announce that Hon. John DiBlasi and Richard Byrne, Esq. were honored at the Institute of Jewish Humanities Thirty Fifth Annual Testimonial Dinner on December 17, 2014. Hon. John DiBlasi received the Lifetime Achievement in the Law Award and Richard Byrne, Esq. received the Mediator of the Year Award.

Hon. John DiBlasi was awarded the Lifetime Achievement in the Law Award in recognition of his illustrious career as a legal scholar and mediator. In 2014, he was ranked as the top mediator in the United States by the National Law Journal, one of the top ten mediators in New York State by the New York Law Journal Reader Rankings Survey, and has received the Super Lawyer designation. He holds an AV Preeminent peer rating from Martindale-Hubbell in the fields of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and Litigation, a distinction given to those who demonstrate the highest ethical standards and professional ability. Judge DiBlasi’s practice is devoted to ADR and he draws on his vast experience as a neutral, former litigator and judge in approaching each of his cases. Richard Byrne, Esq. received the Mediator of the Year Award in recognition of his illustrious career as a mediator and longtime proponent of ADR. He has mediated matters involving various areas of the law including construction and commercial disputes, employment discrimination, insurance coverage, complex personal injury and property damage claims, risk transfer disputes and disability claims. Richard Byrne was voted in the top 10 “Best Overall Mediator” category by the 2014 New York Law Journal Reader Rankings Survey and has been award an A-V rating by Martindale-Hubbell.
