RICHARD BYRNE, ESQ. INVITED TO PRESENT "RISK TRANSFER" CLE TO HOUSE COUNSEL AT CHUBB INSURANCE COMPANY
NAM is pleased to announce that Richard Byrne, Esq. has been invited by Hoey King Epstein Prezioso & Marquez, house counsel for Chubb Insurance Co., to present a CLE on the subject of Risk Transfer. Mr. Byrne will be speaking about the following topics: the goal of risk transfer; the nature and examples of “situational” coverage; forms of risk transfer; contractual indemnity; additional insured coverage; priority of coverage; risk transfer issues at mediation; and best practices. Additionally, Mr. Byrne will discuss other issues relevant to risk transfer, including: anti-subrogation; certificates of insurance; allocation of defense costs; prosecuting vs. defending tenders; timing of declinations; choice of counsel; and prior defense costs.
