MATRIMONIAL FEES AND COSTS

ARBITRATION & MEDIATION

*All administrative fees are non-refundable. The administrative fee must be received by NAM prior to scheduling any arbitration or mediation proceeding. This fee includes case administration, coordination, scheduling, document handling, faxing and postage.

*or $250 split equally between the parties, unless otherwise agreed upon by the parties in writing, prior to the scheduling of the matter. Each session to be scheduled and billed for a minimum of 2 hours.

The hourly rate is inclusive of all conference/hearing time, the Hearing Officer's study and document review time prior or subsequent to the session(s), as well as time spent on the preparation of the "Legal Memorandum" (which reflects the agreement between the parties) or of the Arbitration decision.

All fees for time reserved is due and payable to NAM ten days prior to each session, or by certified check submitted to the Hearing Officer prior to the commencement of any and all sessions. No Mediation or Arbitration will go forward until the payment of all fees due NAM are received. All fees for time reserved are non-refundable.

Adjournment Fees:

Any arbitration or mediation adjourned with at least 7 business days notice to NAM is billable at $200 to the adjourning party. Any arbitration or mediation adjourned without 7 business days notice to NAM will be billable at $300 to the adjourning party. The adjourning party shall be responsible for a fee of $500 in the event they adjourn or cancel on the day of their scheduled hearing/conference.

Fees and costs effective 7/1/08. Hearing Officer travel time (should any be required) is billable to each party at the assigned Hearing Officer's travel time rate. All fees will automatically increase by 5% annually as of July 1st of each year.
