NATION'S LARGEST LOCAL BOARD OF REALTORS CONTRACTS WITH LEADER IN ARBITRATION AND MEDIATION, NAM, TO SETTLE MULTIPLE LISTINGS DISPUTES
GARDEN CITY, NY - National Arbitration and Mediation (NAM) has been selected by the Long Island Board of Realtors, Inc. (also known as LIBOR) as the administrator for any disputes arising between parties to multiple listing service contracts.
NAM will be replacing the American Arbitration Association in order to afford disputing parties cost efficient access to some of the most highly qualified and respected Hearing Officers within New York State. NAM's Comprehensive Rules of Procedure will also afford disputants a sensible and timely process so that issues will be resolved in a timely fashion.
Howard Goldson, Counsel to LIBOR said, "access to an organization such as NAM is a welcome addition to the various services that LIBOR offers, and I am confident that the quality and service of the company will be well received by all parties seeking redress."
Steven J. Goldstein, a prominent Long Island real estate attorney, stated that "the AAA is simply too bogged down in administrative procedure and red tape to be effective. NAM offers more attractive Hearing Officer options, more sensible pricing and better case administration. We believe that the switch to NAM is for the better."
Hearing Officers available to decide real estate matters for NAM in the MLSLI program include Judge Leon A. Beerman (former Justice of the Supreme Court in Queens County), Judge Stanley Harwood (former Associate Justice, Appellate Division, 2nd Dept; Supreme Court, Nassau County), Judge Joseph J. Kunzeman (former Associate Justice, Appellate Division, 2nd Dept.; Supreme Court, Queens County), Judge Daniel Palmieri (former Justice of the Supreme Court, Nassau County), Judge Ira J. Raab (former Justice of the Supreme Court, Nassau County) and Judge Harry E. Seidell (former Justice of the Supreme Court, Suffolk County).
The Rules and Procedures governing these cases can be obtained from the NAM website at www.namadr.com, or by contacting Diana Roldan, Case Administrator, NAM, 990 Stewart Ave. First Floor, Garden City, NY 11530. Tel (516) 794-8950, ext. 124.
