NAM WELCOMES JUSTICE ALAN LE VINE

GARDEN CITY, NY - A former Queens Supreme Court Justice with a well-regarded reputation for moving cases has joined National Arbitration and Mediation's (NAM's) Panel of Neutrals to hear legal matters in the New York metropolitan area and on Long Island.

Justice Alan LeVine served on the New York State Supreme Court in Queens from 1984 to 2005. During that time, he was a Justice in the Trial Assignment Part for eight years. "I conferenced close to 100 cases a day and met thousands of attorneys," said Justice LeVine. "I hope to bring that experience to NAM."

Prior to serving on the Supreme Court, Justice LeVine was a Judge of the Civil Court, Queens County, from 1980-1983. He also served as a Law Secretary to Justice Arthur W. Lonschein from 1974-1979.

Justice LeVine's civic activities have included being Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Brandeis Association. He was also a member of the Board of Directors for the Jamaica Estates Association and the Jamaica Estates-Holliswood Volunteer Ambulance Corporation. In addition, he served as President of the PTA of Jamaica High School.

Justice LeVine graduated from Jamaica High School in Queens in 1947. He received a B.A. from Queens College in 1951 and an LL.B from New York University Law School in 1954.
