NAM'S HON. BRUCE ALPERT RECEIVES SPECIAL RECOGNITION
GARDEN CITY, NY - Hon. Bruce Alpert (Ret.), former Justice of the Supreme Court in Nassau County and a NAM Hearing Officer, was honored at a ceremony held in Mineola, New York on October 27, 2008. Hon. Alpert was formally presented with his portrait that now can be viewed at the Calendar Control Courtroom of the Nassau County Supreme Court.
The Nassau Bar Association has a long-standing tradition of commissioning portraits of Nassau County Supreme Court Justices upon their retirement. The portraits are then presented to the court for display. Portraits dating back more than 100 years are currently displayed.
The Hon. Anthony Marano, Administrative Judge of Nassau County, presided over the ceremony and Peter H. Levy, President of the Nassau County Bar Association offered remarks and formally presented the portrait to former Justice Alpert.
