Honorable Karla Moskowitz Joins NAM's New York Metro Panel of Neutrals

New York, NY (February 12, 2018) – NAM (National Arbitration and Mediation) is proud to announce the addition of the Honorable Karla Moskowitz to its New York Metro roster of neutrals.

Judge Moskowitz joins NAM after a remarkable and longstanding judicial career which includes 10 years spent as an Associate Justice at the Appellate Division, 1st Department. Prior to her service in the Appellate Division, she was elected and re-elected to the Supreme Court. For 5 years, she served with distinction in the Commercial Division where she regularly engaged in settlement negotiations regarding commercial related matters including contract interpretation and enforcement disputes as well as corporate, partnership, construction and international matters. Prior to that, she sat in the Medical Malpractice Part of the Supreme Court for 11 years.

Hon. Moskowitz's reputation is being well-versed in the law with a broad range of knowledge in a wide variety of case types that include commercial, appellate practice, banking and finance, construction, e-commerce, insurance, international trade, matrimonial, medical malpractice and trade secret matters. She is known for her intelligence, determination, fair and even-handed manner when assisting parties with the settlement of their disputes.

Justice Moskowitz is an active member of the Commercial and Federal Litigation Section of the New York State Bar Association. She is a staunch supporter of women's rights and diversity in the workplace and has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards for her advocacy.
