As an attorney, Mr. Freitag has frequently served as a mediator and arbitrator in thousands of cases involving complex litigation and catastrophic personal injuries. Mr. Freitag’s reputation, integrity, and service have led to numerous appointments by the Surrogate and State Supreme Courts to positions of fiduciary responsibility wherein he has represented the needs of those unable to represent themselves. In 2024, Mr. Freitag was voted a Top Ten Arbitrator for the eighth year in a row by the New York Law Journal “Best Of” survey. He is a past recipient of the “Advocate of the Year Award” by the Institute of Jewish Humanities for his dedication to the community and the legal professi on. Additionally, Mr. Freitag is a Board Member and past President of the venerable Emerald Association of Long Island, a charitable organization dedicated to the purpose of raising funds for the care, maintenance, and education of dependent children. He is a proud member of the Brehon Law Society on whose behalf he has served on the New York County Civil Judicial Screening panel.
