New York State Labor Law Section 240 holds owners and general contractors strictly liable for injuries and sequelae from height-related accidents, including falls from ladders and scaffolding. Labor Law 240 cases are high stakes for both sides, making mediation all the more important.

Section 240 of New York State Labor Law, also known as “Scaffolding Law,” protects the rights of construction workers who suffer a fall or are struck by a falling object. These unique types of cases require careful preparation with settlement as the goal. Michael B. Titowsky, Esq., will provide guidance for navigating the settlement of these matters.
