The AASC Fall Conference brings together settlement consultants from across the country to participate in panel sessions, evaluate case studies and learn from industry experts.

The panel discussion will address the best practices for the successful mediation of medical malpractice claims for plaintiff and defense counsel alike. Topics will include identifying which cases to mediate, client consultation and preparation prior to mediation, drafting the mediation statement and more.

The program will focus on Federal Civil Rights Acts, Titles VII and IX and provide attendees with the knowledge of the State and City laws and codes involved with these sexual discrimination and abuse cases.

The 4-day international event will continue the tradition of offering excellent and innovative educational programs that will be presented by key thought leaders in the dispute resolution field along with social and networking events.

Attendees will receive insights and suggestions on crafting an arbitration clause, so as to avoid litigating the clause. They will also learn how to streamline the resolution of any dispute through its terms, crafting a clause applicable to a specific business transaction, and avoiding unconscionable terms that may be intertwined with ethical issues that could render the clause null and void in whole or in part.

Judge Scheinkman and Ms. Herscovici will discuss the differences between finding justice through trial, in court or at private mediation.

Teleconferencing and videoconferencing are hot topics in today's environment. Legal professionals are using this form of communication now more than ever, which heightens the exposure to cybersecurity threats.

The program, Business Divorce and the Use of ADR as a Path to Resolution, will be an interactive one, where attendees will learn about the use of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in resolving issues related to business divorce from NAM's highly regarded panel.

Mr. Worden will focus on the best way for attorneys to benefit from mediation including presentation, psychology, strategy and the moves that help to get the best results. The course will examine the mediation process and how ethical behavior can ultimately lead to a successful outcome.
